Outsourced IT Department

The Tuxxin Annual IT Program

One annual contract covers your websites and portals, servers and cloud, email, phones and DNS, backups and cybersecurity. Your systems stay on hardware and accounts your company owns.

Tuxxin is the outsourced IT department for mid-size businesses, covering everything they run online. Tuxxin maintains and monitors your systems and builds on-site fallback systems in your office.

Four Service Pillars

Cybersecurity and Threat Hunting

Exposure monitoring, threat hunting, email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and incident response, informed by honeypots and scanners Tuxxin operates.

Desktop, laptop and printer support stays with your office staff or desktop provider, and Tuxxin works alongside them.

How the Program Works

  1. Assessment

A fixed-price IT cost and security assessment, from $2,500, inventories your internet-facing systems, scans them with manual validation and reviews your vendor bills. It ends with a prioritized 90-day plan.

  2. Onboarding

Tuxxin documents every system and takes over day-to-day administration. Accounts stay in your company's name.

  3. Monthly Operations

Tuxxin monitors and patches your systems, runs and tests backups, and reviews security.

  4. Quarterly Review

Each quarter, Tuxxin reviews the roadmap and your vendor bills with you.

What the Assessment Covers

  • An inventory of your internet-facing systems
  • An external scan with manual validation
  • An email authentication review (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
  • A check of the controls cyber insurers ask for: MFA, endpoint protection, tested backups and a written incident response plan
  • A review of your phone, email, cloud and hosting bills
  • A prioritized 90-day plan

Houston's Courier

Website and SEO

Tuxxin built and launched their website and manages their SEO and blog. Comparing the latest six months with the six before, search impressions rose 78% and clicks rose 26% (Google Search Console).

Driver portal in development

Portals

Tuxxin is rebuilding their dispatcher and client portals. A new driver portal is in development: barcode scanning with the phones drivers already carry, GPS tracking and live maps.

On-Site Standby

An on-site standby server keeps a fresh copy of the database and can take over in under 30 minutes.
